The Penn State Eco Reps are a small group of passionate students leading the charge to eliminate waste at our 110,000+ football stadium. They educate students, alumni, and University faculty about how to compost and recycle effectively, working on the front lines to sort waste in the President's Box, as well as behind the scenes with waste management.

"For the Future" spotlights six students leading the sustainability movement at Penn State University. This documentary goes beyond the why of sustainable development to explore how students are creating a greener future for generations of Penn Staters to come. The issues addressed in this film include environmental justice, food insecurity, sustainable agriculture, and more. Sustainability matters as much today as it does tomorrow, so when you ask, "Why care?" — our answer is "For the Future."

“Tailgating is Family”

A student-produced documentary about tailgating at Penn State University. This short film explores how families celebrate camaraderie and university pride before every football game. Beyond drinking, games, or good food, tailgating is a family affair filled with love and inclusivity. This film is dedicated to the memory of Danny Gerhart, a 2021 Penn State alum who passed away in August after a tragic climbing accident. His friends and tailgating family have since banded together to support a Penn State Scholarship in his honor. Danny was a talented trumpet player in the prestigious Blue Band. His name will live on with this endowed scholarship thanks to the contributions of those who attended his family's tailgate.
